Even though there had been reports from Eye witnesses that about 70 people might have died from the bomb blast which happened at Zuba Park,Abuja on May Ist 2014,The police spokesperson, Frank Mba have said 12 people have died and 19 were injured..
A seperate statement released by the NSCDC and NEMA also stated said that 10 bodies were recovered from the scene while several others were taken to different hospitals.
"While security agencies have condoned off the area of the explosion in Nyanya, Abuja, response agencies have moved injured victims to hospitals and at least 10 lifeless bodies have been deposited in the mortuary while 13 unconscious victims are receiving medical attention in different hospitals in Abuja. Other injured victims too are being attended to." the statement read in part.
It was believed that a man conveyed the bomb into the motor park using a white Volkswagen.
