Psquare's Breakup was a Publicity Stunt?Laura Ikeji Slams Psquare's Publicist!

First of all,I do not expect a qualified Publicist would grant this sort of interview claiming him and his client(Psquare) were playing along with the Public.



Secondly,Icon Magazine doesn't have credibility!The other time they published a report of Tuface impregnating his account officer,despite Tuface denial,the Magazine has not come up with prove to back up the report.

A report has however gone viral which says Psquare's Publicist Bayo Adetu granted Icon Weekly Magazine an interview claiming the whole Psquare breakup was a Publicity stunt and further said Linda Ikeji "mere blogger" misled Nigerians.

Although Linda is yet to respond to this,her beloved sister Laura Ikeji who is famous for ranting and defending Linda on Twitter said many things and also that her sister earns more than Bayo's client.was she referring to Psquare?

Greetings, Bayo, we heard that the Okoye brothers have finally reconciled, can you give us an insight on what really happened?

After a long laugh… My brother, I’m telling you this as a friend, there was no fight at all. The whole thing started after Jude tweeted some days back and bloggers feasted on it and gave it several interpretations which never existed, and that was how we got here.

Are you saying there wasn’t a fight at all, how then did Peter and Paul keep releasing comments through their Facebook accounts?



My guy, I can authoritatively tell you that neither of the P-Square brothers, nor even Jude operate their Facebook accounts anymore. Whatever Facebook posted was from an impersonator, pretending to be anyone of them. P-Sqaure is active on twitter, not on facebook, so you see, the whole thing was founded on lies.

 If what you are saying is true, why did they all tweet a reconciliatory tweet this morning indicating that they have mended fences?

There’s one thing you should know, P-Square are not politicians, neither are they businessmen to be worried about what one useless blogger or the other has to say about them.In this game, bad publicity is good publicity.

When we read those funny posts, we decided to play along with the general public and what they were meant to believe.

Yesterday, Thursday, April 24, 2014 was
Jude Okoye’s birthday and he also used the opportunity to propose to his girlfriend while we laughed at the stupidity of some Nigerian bloggers.

We later decided to further play into their hands by reaching a consensus to tweet what they have termed the ‘reconciliation tweet’.

However as a journalist, I am pained that trained journalists allow themselves to be remoted by Linda Ikeji, a mere blogger without any professional training to stall them from investigating serious news material like this. These days, immediately Linda posts anything on her blog, journalists just go there and copy and paste the story without any checks and balances, it is outrightly wrong, I’m really upset about this.

She called me after posting the story and I just decided to ignore her calls, because I didn’t think we had anything more to say when the milk has been spilt.I have taken my time to explain to you this way because, you are a friend and did not join the bandwagon.As for those bloggers out there, I allowed them to write whatever they like; after all, they are consuming their Internet data, not mine.

EFCC Arrests Skye Bank Staffs for Fraudulently Withdrawing from Customers Accounts

Five persons have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over allegation of fraudulent transfer of a total of N5, 550,000.00 (Five Million, Five Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) from an account in Skye Bank.

The suspects, Ademola Okunlola, 36; Tajudeen Oluwanisola, 41; Kolawole Adams, 52; Temitope Pedro, 27; Bayo Olowoyo, 39 and Otunba Biodun Adebanjo, 56, were picked up in different locations in Lagos by operatives of the anti- graft agency for allegedly effecting the fraudulent transfer of N5, 550,000.00 from the account of one Ajani Kareem Musibau domiciled in Skye Bank Plc.


The fraudulent transfers took place on March 3, 2014. One of the suspected fraudsters, Ademola Okunlola, a staff of Skye Bank, Ikeja Branch, Lagos, set the stage for the scam when he covertly used his camera phone to capture the photograph and signature specimen of Musibau. He accessed his account and sent the details to another staff of the bank: Bayo Olowoyo at the Toyin Street, Ikeja branch.

The duo reportedly sent Musibau's photograph and signature specimen to a member of their syndicate who effected the money transfer into two accounts: N4.1Million( Four Million, One Hundred Thousand Naira) was moved into Adebajo Biodun Olusola's account with Wema Bank, Shagamu branch, Ogun State while N1,450,000.00( One Million, Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira only) was moved into another account operated by Temitope Pedro with Guaranty Trust Bank, Ikeja branch.

The suspects were arrested following a petition by the bank.
They will be arraigned in court as soon as investigation is concluded.

Amaka Igwe,Producer of Nneka The Pretty Serpent dies at 51

Nollywood has lost a rare gem,one of the most respected Film maker's and CEO of Top Radio 90.9 FM, Amaka Igwe is dead.She was also the founder of BoBTV Expo,Amaka Igwe Studios, and the newly-launched Q Entertainment Networks.

Amaka was said to have suffered an Asthma Attack last night April 28th and was later pronounced dead in the Hospital.


She studied Education/Religion at the University of Ife (Now Obafemi Awolowo University). She had a Master's Degree from the University of Ibadan. She had her early education at All Saints School (Now Trans Ekulu Primary School), Girls High School Awkunanaw, Enugu and Idia College, Benin.

Amaka Igwe lectured at the Anambra State University of Technology and worked in the oil and Gas sector,before she embraced the motion picture industry.

She has won several awards,written & produced award winning movies & sitcoms Fuji House of Commotion,Violated,Checkmate,Nneka the pretty Serpent to mention a few.


Sources revealed she was preparing to shoot a new Igbo soap before she died,so sad!

Amaka is survived by her husband,three children and an aged Mum.

May her gentle soul Rest In Peace.

Shocking!!How an 8 year old girl was found under a Policeman bed,tied up and brutalised!

A policeman attached to Police Mobile Force 22 who lived at 8 Olufowobi street,Ketu Lagos is on the run after an 8 year old girl,Amarachi Abakwam was found under this bed,tied up and brutalised.

PUNCH Metro reported that the policeman, Augustine Gbuchenge, with Force number 400823, lived in the same compound with Amarachi’s family.

The father of the victim, Patrick, said that on the fateful day he had been looking everywhere for his daughter until they discovered her under Gbuchenge’s bed.


Patrick said, “Last Thursday, I returned from work around 7.30pm and met my children and wife outside. There was power failure on that day so everywhere was dark. I asked after Amarachi but my wife said she was probably in our apartment sleeping.

“I was not satisfied with this explanation because my children don’t usually sleep early. When I went up, I did not see my daughter so we started asking around. Some little children in the compound then told me that Gbuchenge had called my daughter earlier to help him buy akara.


“I went to the policeman’s room to challenge him but he denied seeing my daughter so we continued looking everywhere. After sometime, the whole compound got involved in the search and all clues pointed to the policeman.”


Patrick said that he and the other neighbours challenged Gbuchenge again and an argument ensued.
He said Gbuchenge immediately stood up and threatened to go and tell his colleagues at the Ketu Police Division that he was being wrongly accused of abduction.


“Some moments later, I also stood up and headed for the police station to go and report the matter thinking I would meet the policeman there as well but I did not. After reporting the matter, a police corporal accompanied me back to my house,” Patrick said.


It was learnt that when they returned to the house, Gbuchenge was nowhere to be found and his room was locked.
“We were able to beam a torchlight through his window where we saw my daughter’s legs pointing out from under the bed,” Patrick said.


Neighbours were said to have rallied around and broken Gbuchenge’s door open.
 When the little girl was finally pulled out from under the bed, she was bound by her hands and feet while a piece of cloth had been stuffed in her mouth.


Amarachi was said to have been bleeding profusely as she had sustained a broken skull.
She was subsequently taken to Gbagada General Hospital but due to the severity of her wound, she was referred to the Lagos Island General Hospital.

When Punch correspondent visited the victim at the hospital, she was seen wearing a neck brace while her head had been bandaged.

Narrating her ordeal, Amarachi said, “On that day, he (Gbuchenge) asked me to buy akara for him. After I returned, my mum asked me to go upstairs to do the dishes. As I was going, the man pulled me from behind and took me into his room.

“He then tied me up. He did not rape me. After sometime, my parents started shouting my name and calling me, the policeman used an iron to hit me in the head repeatedly and then pushed me under the bed and used clothes to cover me. Under the bed, I saw little children’s clothes.

“He then turned on his generator so that even if I tried to shout, no one would hear. After sometime, he left. I continued to hear my father’s voice and I struggled to push my leg from under the bed. That was how they saw me and rescued me.”

Amara described the policeman as a very friendly person who usually bought sweets and biscuits for children in the compound. She said she was surprised that he would do such a thing.
A neighbour, who did not identify himself, described Gbuchenge as a very strange person who usually carried a large bag around.

“The man (Gbuchenge) has been living in this compound for over three years. He is married with children but his family lives in Alapere, Ketu. He has two buses but on the day of the incident, he did not bring his vehicles home, it seems he had planned to escape on that day.

“We believe he wanted to use the girl for ritual. What were little children’s clothes doing under the bed?”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the incident in a text message sent to Punch. She said efforts were on to determine if the suspect was indeed a policeman.

She said, “I heard of the wicked act. MOPOL 22, which is where the complainant claims the suspect works has been contacted. However, the commander in charge of MOPOL 22 said there was no person with such a name or identity in his squadron.


“Meanwhile, we have sent signals to other police departments and stations to ascertain if the man is actually a serving policeman. The act is inhuman and the suspect will never go unpunished.”

Vice President loses Brother in a Car Accident

Vice President Namadi Sambo is most saddened over the sudden demise of his younger brother Captain Sabo Sambo,who died on Sunday,April 27th in an auto accident on the airport road in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Captain Sambo,aged 60 was on his way to the Nnnamdi Azikwe International Airport when his tire punctured. His car was said to have hit a tree and went up in flames.

President Goodluck Jonathan described the death as a very tragic one, coming at a time the country still needed the services of Captain Sambo.

He prayed that God would grant his soul eternal rest and asked the Vice President, the family, the government and people of Kaduna State to bear the loss with fortitude.

The Vice President was away in Tanzania on an official visit when he received the sad news.

The burial had already taken place according to Islamic rites.

Many friends and well-wishers gathered at the Vice President’s residence to console him on the tragic loss

Among those who came to condole him were President Goodluck Jonathan, the First Lady, Mrs patience Jonathan and many other government officials

The Chief Imam of the Abuja Mosque led in a short prayer for the repose of the soul of the departed

Vice President Sambo described his brother, whom he said had gone back to God, as one of the best pilots in the country.

Captain Sambo was a retired Air Force Pilot and had served with the Presidential Air Fleet before moving into private practice.

May His soul rest in Peace.

Fourth Edition: The Pointy Toe Stiletto Pump
I was ecstatic when platforms made a comeback about 9 years ago, then 5 years later they were the ultimate shoes to have. Every designer had an amazing sexy pair of super high shoes. Some were uncomfortable, but easier to walk in with the support of the platform at the front of the heel.

However, in the last year or so, we have gradually seen the demise of the platform and the return of the ever so classic pointy toe stiletto pump. This stiletto is that shoe that never really goes out of style but always lingers in the background. Beside them squeezing your toes (then again beauty is pain) they are truly the shoes to have. The stiletto heel dates back to the 19th century and have been recreated by numerous designers over the years. Valentino, Prada, Gucci, Christian Louboutin have all given their platforms styles the backseat and placed the focus on this classic.

The reason why I believe this is such an important trend for Spring is because even with the warmer weather coming in we are seeing more and more stilettos at store fronts of all the major retail stores. Its silhouette has proven to be timeless and for this Spring season we are seeing it in every major spring color like green, yellow, white and blue!

White pumps are a dare because they have the tendency to get dirty fast, however they make any outfit look ultra chic.

Spikes add a modern edge to the classic blue pump. Check out this uber chic pump with studs. Loubs of course!



Regardless of the material, yellow shoes are perfect for the season and better on pumps!



The pointy- toe is also being featured in various prints and fabrics like floral prints and lace fabrics; truly highlighting Spring 2014 trends.

My blue lace print pumps are my favorite, they always add a little extra to an outfit!

In most shoes styles, the higher the heel the sexier the shoe. However, the pointy-toe pump is the exception. Due to its slim silhouette, this shoe has proven to be sexy regardless of its height.

In only a 3.5 heel height, these pumps still manage to remain sexy and spice up this outfit.

Alongside the midi skirt, this trend celebrates femininity, eliminating the bulkiness of the platform and replacing it with a slimmer, more delicate form. The pump also has the ability to elongate your legs making it a great option for shorter women.
