Panic in Liberian Villages as Dead Ebola victims reportedly " rise from the dead"

Two female victims who passed on, after contracting the deadly Ebola virus, allegedly resurrected in one of the villages in Liberia today, UK Mirror reports.

The victims, both females in their 40s and 60s, died of the deadly virus in separate communities in Nimba County, Liberia.

But according to reports in a local newspaper, the women have been resurrected and are now walking among the living, causing panic and fear among locals.

The New Dawn Nimba County said the late Dorris Quoi of Hope Village Community and the second victim identified as Ma Kebeh, in her late 60s, were about to be taken for burial when they rose from the dead.

Ma Kebeh had been indoors for two nights without food and medication before her alleged death.

Nimba County has recently reported unusual news of Ebola cases, including one about a native doctor from the county, who claimed that he could cure infected victims, dying of the virus himself last week.

Since the Ebola outbreak in Nimba County, this is the first incident of dead victims resurrecting, the paper said

'Her condition is so rare, it doesn't even have a NAME': Heartbreak of mother whose daughter suffers from uncontrollable vomiting and could die before she turns six

article-2761022-2173CE2D00000578-628_306x449

When Ava Galley, now four, from Cheshire, was born, her mother Nichola, 35, just had enough time to glimpse a pair of eyes and a tiny nose before her new daughter was whisked away by nurses.

By the time she next saw her daughter, she was in the midst of a tangle of wires as doctors frantically tried to work out what was wrong with the tiny baby and find a solution for her continual vomiting.

But more than four years on, Nichola and the doctors are no wiser and while they have managed to fix Ava's heart problems, precisely what sort of genetic disorder she suffers from remains unknown.
'It was like a punch in the stomach because we'd been given the all-clear from the amnio test,' says Nichola of the moment she discovered that her tiny baby wasn't the healthy daughter she had hoped for.
The pregnancy had been tortuous but we just thought she was going to be a very small baby. We were in the recovery room and laughing and joking when the doctor came in.

'The way the news was delivered to us… he walked into the room with a nurse and delivered it so abruptly - even the nurse was shocked.'

Convinced Ava wouldn't survive, doctors tried to prepare a devastated Nichola and her husband Paul for the worst but, much to the surprise of medics, the little girl clung on.

Initially, the biggest challenge was working out how to feed her: with Ava unable to suck and prone to vomiting whenever she was given milk.

'She was poorly and it turned out that every time they fed her, they were drowning her because the milk was going straight to the chest, straight to the lungs,' remembers Nichola.

'It was a good four months before we got her home and she has spent pretty much the first three years of her life were in hospital. This summer is the first that she hasn’t been in and out all the time.'

Despite her improving condition, Ava who suffers from microcephaly [an unusually small skull] in addition to the genetic disorder, is still unable to walk unaided, talk or feed herself.

She also continues to vomit uncontrollably, which means she regularly suffers from chest infections and needs a special bed, a feeding pump and round-the-clock care from her mother who has been forced to give up a promising career to care for her.

'She still vomits and I never know quite how much food to give her or whether her body is going to tolerate that feed,' explains Nichola

Unbelievable! ! A woman with half her brain MISSING still managed to live almost a normal life

2014-09-13-06-14-18

A Chinese woman has lived to the age of 24 with part of her brain missing, before the extremely rare condition was detected.

Doctors at the Chinese PLA General Hospital of Jinan Military Area Command in the Shandong Province made the discovery when the woman visited medics complaining of nausea and dizziness.

Scans revealed the woman had been born with a cerebellum - the part of the brain responsible for posture, balance, motor learning like kicking a ball, and speech.

It is located at the base of the skull and contains around half the neurons - cells that transmit information - in the brain, and represents around 10 per cent of the brain's mass.
It emerged the woman had experienced problems, not learning to talk until she was six and failing to walk until she was seven.

While it is not unknown for a person to lose partial function of the cerebellum due to an injury or disease, completely lacking the region in the first place is extremely rare.

Physicians believe the woman is only the ninth known case of a living person suffering the condition cerebellar agenesis.
Doctors learned the woman had never played or jumped like other children her age, and is unable to walk steadily without support

Tests revealed she had no problem understanding words but living without a cerebellum meant she had difficulties with pronunciation.

Her voice trembles, her words are slurred and the doctors treating the 24-year-old described her voice tone as 'harsh'.

Specialists discovered the space where the cerebellum should be was empty.

Instead, the black space was filled with cerebrospinal fluid, which cushions the brain, providing defence against disease.
Doctors treated her with a dehydration treatment to remove some of the water pressure building up in her brain.

Mario Manto, who researches cerebellar disorders at the Free University of Brussels in Belgium, told the New Scientist: 'These rare cases are interesting to understand how the brain circuitry works and compensates for missing parts.'

The doctors looking after the patient, said they believe the normal cerebellar function may have been taken over by the cortex.

At a follow-up appointment four years later she was showing signs of doing well, it was reported in the journal Brain.

The woman married, and gave birth to a daughter with no neurological abnormalities.

While the majority of people born with the rare condition will die in infancy, the patient represents a new opportunity to study the effects of living without the cerebellum

I Thought Only People in Africa Had HIV- HIV Positive British Mum

2014-09-12-08-15-36

48 year old mother of three Racheal Dilly who got diagnosed with HIV in 2004 said prior to her diagnosis had thought HIV/AIDS only affected Africans because she didn't know any white person who had the illness at the time.

Addressing hosts of ITV Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, yesterday, Racheal Dilly said she got infected after she dated a man she met online and had unprotected s3x with him. She said she started falling ill once they ended their relationship and she was asked to go for HIV test after other test conducted read negative.

"I just didn't know anything about it. I just thought you got it in Africa. I didn't know a white person had ever got it". Dilly said to her amazed hosts yesterday.

Oscar Pistorius might be Found Guilty of Manslaughter

2014-09-12-07-33-43

Oscar Pistorius has been cleared of Murder Charges
but might be found guilty of Manslaughter.

Judge Masipa will begin proceedings by evaluating the evidence of each of the witnesses and she is assisted only by two assessors. She may decide that Oscar Pistorius is innocent, or that the state has not done enough to prove its case, resulting in an acquittal. But if she decides Pistorius deliberately murdered Steenkamp, he could face a life sentence, which in South Africa means 25 years in jail.

See some of the things judge Masipa said

*He was negligent

*He could have run to the balcony and screamed. He
could have called security.
*He was reckless, acted in haste and used excessive force

*He had other options but chose to use a loaded gun

*He could have run to the balcony and called for help like he did after the shooting

*He could have called for help in less time it took to shoot through the door.

*He had reasonable time to reflect and think

*There was no explanation why Oscar didn't call security before arming himself and going to the bathroom.
*If he woke and found someone over him and opened fire, that would have been excusable conduct. Continue...

*Many people suffer from crime but not everyone sleeps with a firearm under their bed

*His conduct could be explained by looking at his past. But that does not excuse his conduct.

*Growing up in crime-riddled environment with a paranoid mother is just an explaination not excuse

*Many South Africans grew up in crime-riddled environment, they don't go about killing others

*Explains that the court must use the test of the reasonable man to determine whether Oscar was negligent.

*The test for negligence: weather a reasonable person would have foreseen the reasonable possibility of the consequence.

*Defence said conduct of Oscar was brought about by several factors like lack of burglar bars on windows

The court will resume hearing at 9.30am Friday (Today)

Meet the woman who has slept with 140 Men and also kept a diary rating each one of them

1409924289232_Image_galleryImage_EDITORIAL_USE_ONLY_NO_MER

An Irish mother who has kept a diary detailing her sexual history with 140 men has said she could make room in her 'little black book' for Eamonn Holmes.

Sandy Nardo, 53, from Dublin, made the proposition as she was interviewed by the TV presenter and his wife, Ruth Langsford, on today's This Morning.

Speaking of how she has racked up so many lovers over the years, Sandy said: 'I was kind of looking for a husband but it's hard to get the qualities you want in one guy.'

She added to Ruth: 'You've done alright. I might be able to make a little space sometime if you ever get tried of him.'

An awkward-looking Eamonn quickly changed the subject to the viewers' comments while an unflappable Ruth asked Sandy if she had 'commitment issues'.

Sandy said she has had so many lovers because she 'likes collecting things' and keeping a diary of her conquests became a ritual.

'I like to keep lists of things, it's a habit. It might be a bit of OCD,' she admitted.

She explained how she slept with 140 men around the world - often just one night stands - as she travelled with her job as a translator.

She started a list where she would rank them on their looks, dress sense and 'emotional state'.

She would also keep a record of their 'solvency' (i.e how well-off they are) and how long the relationship lasted.

Hope for Ebola Cure: American Ebola infected Patient is in Stable Condition after Doctors injected her with Serum. Read more..

article-2715832-202F33AF00000578-299_308x185

Nancy Writebol, 59, an American Ebola patient was a devoted missionary who knowingly risked her safety to help battle the Ebola virus outbreak.

Nancy Writebol is in stable, but serious condition after getting the second dose of the experimental serum.

The 59-year-old missionary will be flown to Emory University Hospital later this week aboard a specially-designed air ambulance jet
She will join Dr Kent Brantly, who was working on the same mission in Liberia when he was infected with Ebola
After he fell ill, Dr Brantly received a blood transfusion from a 14-year-old patient who survived Ebola
Nancy Writebol, the last American Ebola patient in Liberia, is in stable condition after receiving a second dose of an experimental antiviral serum, her son revealed today.

It's important news for the U.S. missionary. The private air ambulance jet that will ferry her to Atlanta landed in Monrovia, Liberia, on Monday. On Tuesday, she is expected to join fellow missionary and Ebola patient Dr Kent Brantly in a special quarantine wing at Emory University Hospital.

Ms Writebol, a 59-year-old mother from North Carolina, has shown some improvement over the weekend. She can walk with assistance and asked for Liberian potato soup - her favorite meal, family and friends said.

However, her case remains grave. She is in serious ]condition with a disease that has no known cure and proves fatal for up to 90percent of patients.

Dr Brantly and Ms Writebol contracted Ebola after working on the same medical mission team treating victims of the virus around Monrovia, Liberia. More than 1,300 people have been stricken, killing at least 729 of them in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.

Ebola has no vaccine or antidote. However, both Dr Brantly and Ms Writebol were given an experimental treatment last week, according to international relief group Samaritan's Purse.

The group originally said that only Writebol got the treatment. Dr Brantly also received a unit of blood from a 14-year-old boy, an Ebola survivor, who had been under his care, according to the organization.

Unbelievable!!!!!Mother whose son lay seriously ill in hospital claims nurse asked 'is he dead yet?'

article-0-2017EBD000000578-142_308x185

A young mother claims hospital staff were at fault for her son almost dying - with one nurse even asking 'is he dead yet?'

Louise Huart says her and her baby boy, Keegan-James, 'are lucky to be here' after they both survived a battle for life through the birth process.

Her newborn son had suffered severe blood and fluid loss and contracted suspected sepsis during the delivery.

The 22-year-old from Bridlington, East Yorkshire, claims midwives at Scarborough General Hospital, where Keegan-James was delivered, should have realised he was in a life-threatening condition and ordered an emergency caesarean earlier.

After being transferred to Hull Women and Children’s Hospital after the birth, she said nurses told her that a member of staff from Scarborough had called to see if her baby 'was dead yet'.

The allegation was refuted by a hospital spokesperson, who said there was 'no evidence' the 'wholly unacceptable' comment was made by its staff.

She said: 'What happened to us was absolutely appalling. We are both so lucky to be here.'

Ms Huart was rushed to the hospital in Scarborough on May 13 by her partner, Leo Parker, 23, as her contractions fell to just two minutes apart and she received gas and air, pethidine and an epidural.

When her waters broke at 3.30am, they were thick with meconium, a sign that Keegan-James could be in distress.
Despite a monitor showing her son’s heart rate was dipping, she claims a doctor who attended to her said the baby was fine.

She had to have her epidural topped up twice, but by 7.30am her contractions had stopped completely.

'I thought he had just given up - it was heart-breaking.'
Finally, after being encouraged to deliver her child naturally for two hours without contractions, she headed for a caesarean section at 10.30am.

After she received another spinal injection, she had an asthma attack and fell unconscious.

'I’ve had asthma since I was a child but I don’t use inhalers and I don’t even go to reviews.'

She met her son for the first time after 39 hours after they were both transferred to Hull Women and Children’s Hospital.

She said: 'For the nine days we were there, staff in Hull were fantastic.

'On the day we were discharged, one of the nurses told me someone from Scarborough had called to see if Keegan-James was "dead yet".

'Obviously, they hadn’t expected him to survive.'

A spokesperson for York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Scarborough Hospital, denied a staff member had made the comment.

Horror!More Photos from Malaysian Airline Crash site that Killed 295 People On board plus Why it Crashed

A Malaysian Airlines passenger plane has been shot down on the Russian-Ukraine border, killing all 295 people on board, according to a Ukrainian interior ministry official.

Flight MH17, which was carrying 280 passengers and 15 crew, was flying from Amsterdam toKuala Lumpur after taking off at lunchtime today. The Interfax news agency reported that the aircraft went missing near Donetsk, where pro-Russian rebels have been fighting Ukrainian government forces.

TV pictures from the scene showed a pall of smoke billowing into the sky apparently from the
stricken aircraft. Witnesses say body parts are scattered over a distance of 15km, suggesting the plane broke up in mid-air.

It has emerged that the Ukrainian rebels who shot down the plane with BUK surface-to-air missile at 33,000ft around 20 miles before entering Russian airspace.
Filmed it and their militia commander Igor Strelkov, tweeted after the crash"

In the area Torez we just hit down Antonoc-26, it’s lying somewhere in the mine “Progress”.‘We warned you – do not fly in “our sky”. And here is the video confirmation of the “bird dropping”.‘Bird fell near the mine, the residential sector was not disturbed. Civilians are not injured.’

At the time, he apparently believed he had shot down an Antonov-26 military plane of the Ukrainian Air Force Plane. As soon as he must have realised the grave mistake,he deleted the tweet and video  .

According to Mailonline, the Laughing rebels filmed the plane as it crashed, bragging ‘That was a blast – look at the smoke!’

A voice believed to be that of Strelkov – dubbed ‘Igor the Terrible’ – announces:

‘The plane was hit‘Look at those black spots, these are the parts, flying … it was a blast … look, look, black smoke!’
Another rebel, laughs and says:

‘It was worth bringing this thing, wasn’t it?

New Research:Struggling to Sleep?Blame it on the Moon!!

If you are struggling to nod off at night, have a look out of your window. For the moon may be to blame for restless nights, a new study suggests.Even when a group of test subjects were kept in complete darkness with no windows in sight, they had 25 minutes less sleep during a full moon.

The findings appear to support centuries of folklore linking changes in behaviour to the lunar cycle. It may not quite confirm fantasy stories of werewolves, but the research does raise questions about the link between the body clock and the moon’s movements.Scientists already have strong evidence of a human circadian rhythm - the way bodily functions are synchronised with the 24-hour pattern of the Earth’s rotation.

His findings, published in Current Biology, are based on the results of a previous experiment that placed 47 people in a sleep laboratory for six nights. That work focused on how people responded to noise in their sleep, but Mr Smith re-examined the results and compared them to the phases of the moon.He found that the volunteers slept for 25 minutes less on average close to the full moon. The men in the study appeared to be particularly susceptible to the lunar cycle, sleeping for 50 minutes less. All the volunteers were more sensitive to noise on nights around the full moon. The bedroom in the laboratory had no windows, ruling out the influence of light.Mr Smith admitted that far more research is needed to draw any firm conclusions.Because it was a relatively small study, the findings may have simply been down to chance, and because he was retrospectively analysing another team’s results, he had not been able to optimise to test the effect of the moon.Furthermore, a far bigger study, also published in Current Biology yesterday, failed to demonstrate any effect of lunar cycle.Russell Foster, a professor of circadian neuroscience at the University of Oxford, said that further work would be needed to reconcile the apparently contradictory results.

‘We do not know whether light reflected from the lunar surface makes the brain more excitable, elicits certain types of behaviour at its specific phases, or merely prolongs waking to cause secondary effects on sleep,’ he said.Previous research by British scientists suggested that people have more vivid dreams during the time of the full moon. The study, conducted in March this year by Hertfordshire University psychologist Richard Wiseman, found that the content of our dreams does not vary with the seasons or with the days of the week. But, in the week or so surrounding a full moon, they are noticeably more ‘weird and bizarre’.
